RIFFS BAR, "Where Music Matters", is the areas premier live music venue. Run by musicians, RIFFS BAR is now the only place in the area where you can hear quality live music throughout the week.

Where else can you pop down your local and bump into Deborah Bonham (John's sister (Led Zeppelin)), Rick Buckler (The JAM), Dave Gregory (XTC) and a host of local, national and International stars?

"There's only a few venues on the International circuit where music is in the bricks and mortar of the place and Riff's Bar is one of them. You feel instantly at home as a musician, it's always a good night and there's never a down side." Eddie Martin ("A Blues Master" New Jersey Times)

"Riffs Bar is a truly great music venue, hospitable and friendly atmosphere, for all lovers of live music. Our music industry is built upon this type of venue." Rick Buckler (The JAM)

"If I sell a million albums, I'm still coming back to Riff's Bar"  Deborah Bonham

"This is the year of the Riff..." Lars Ulrich (Metallica)

"Carlsberg don't do pubs.... but if they did it'd probably be called Riff's Bar, probably the best pub in the world!"  Rhino Plaster (Vynal Matt)

The Publican Awards UK MUSIC PUB OF THE YEAR 2005 & 2006! Highly Commended 2007
FINALIST 2003/2004

THE PUBLICAN Music Pub of the Year 2005 & 2006!:
In a highly competitive category, Riff's Bar emerged as the winner of the Music Pub of the Year. The fact that Riff's Bar has won this award is testament to the passion, devotion and dedication of it's licencees, Theresa (Tiggy) York and Andy Pett, seemingly against all the odds. They have managed to carve out a niche reputation not only through their clientele but also among the music community. A measure of this can be garnered by the fact that Deborah Bonham - the sister of Led Zeppelin's late drummer, John - was so struck by Riff's when she first played there that she said "If I sell a million albums, I'm still coming back to Riff's"
What the judges said: "Against all the odds, passion and dedication mixed with creativity has seen Riff's thrive. They deliver the complete package for established and emerging artists."

RIFF'S boasts it's own in-house PA system and Lighting and a team of top in-house engineers.

With a great selection of Beers, Spirits, Cask Conditioned Ales and some great food at very reasonable prices, you can't afford not to come.

The interior of Riff's Bar is a rocker's paradise with incredible wall murals painted by Tiggy (The Landlady) and her brother Mike depicting musical icons of yesteryear such as Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Queen and Janis Joplin.

The gig guide will show you that RIFFS is the only place to go in the Swindon Area for quality Live Music, both local and international stars perform at RIFFS

We pride ourselves on providing a warm friendly atmosphere for both the Audience and the performing artists.

MOONCALF RECORDING STUDIO

Mooncalf is a beautifully located, air-conditioned, country recording facility in rural Wiltshire.

Built in 2007, it incorporates the modern with the old. We give the client the individual attention they deserve, taking your production to the next level.

Mooncalf uses Pro Tools HD3 and a beautiful old Soundtracks IL series console for recording and mixing. We find the desk is the perfect compliment to a modern digital recording system, providing a quality front end to ProTools.

Monitoring is courtesy of a full Dynaudio system including Subwoofer, with Yamaha active nearfield monitors.

The control room has a balanced frequency range for accurate monitoring and assessment of recordings. This room provides a very comfortable space in which to work.
